This series kicks off with a truly intriguing premise: a crew wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of who they are or how they got there. \n\nTalk about a blank slate! \n\nThis amnesia plot device allows for constant revelations and character development as the crew slowly uncovers their past, which is often darker than they'd like. The show, based on the comic book series of the same name, manages to balance intricate plotlines with engaging action sequences. It’s also notable for its diverse cast and for featuring strong, complex female characters, a trait it shares with 'The Expanse.' The ship itself, the Raza, feels like a character in its own right, a lived-in vessel that's seen its share of adventures. If you love a good puzzle box narrative in a sci-fi setting, 'Dark Matter' will keep you guessing until the very end!
