Futurama is an absolute masterpiece of sci-fi comedy, and if you love Rick and Morty's blend of intelligent humor and fantastical scenarios, you'll feel right at home in New New York. Created by Matt Groening (yes, that Matt Groening), this show takes a pizza delivery boy from 1999 and thrusts him into the year 3000, leading to endless opportunities for satirical takes on technology, society, and the human condition. The writing is incredibly sharp, packed with subtle Easter eggs, complex mathematical jokes (many of the writers have PhDs!), and genuinely heartwarming character moments. Who knew a robot like Bender could be so endearing, or a cyclops like Leela so compelling? The show's ability to balance laugh-out-loud gags with surprisingly poignant storytelling is a testament to its genius. Plus, the world-building is expansive and imaginative, constantly introducing new alien species, futuristic inventions, and bizarre cosmic phenomena that rival anything Rick and Morty has to offer. It's a show that rewards repeat viewings, always revealing new layers of humor and cleverness.

While the setting and premise (a 20th-century delivery boy frozen and waking up in the 31st century) are vastly different from Archer's spy world, it shares a love for clever jokes, pop culture references, and a core cast of dysfunctional but endearing characters. The show excels at blending high-concept science fiction with relatable human (and robot, and alien) emotions. It has a dedicated fanbase and is known for its surprising emotional depth alongside the rapid-fire gags and visual humor.
