However, as detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn) delves deeper, he uncovers baffling inconsistencies and a sinister, supernatural element. Cynthia Erivo gives an absolutely captivating performance as Holly Gibney, a private investigator with extraordinary intuitive abilities. The series expertly blends crime procedural with horror, creating a deeply unsettling atmosphere and a constant sense of dread. It's a masterclass in suspense, with an intricate plot that will keep you guessing until the very end, all contained within its single, chilling season.
