














Paulo is an experienced doctor who works at a Primary Healthcare Unit on the outskirts of São Paulo. Using unorthodox methods, he focuses on preventative medicine. His routine changes with the arrival of Laura, a recently graduated and ambitious young woman.




























Laura contracts Covid-19 and needs to be hospitalized. Paulo has to alternate between his own appointments and caring for Laura, whose condition worsens. Finally, the vaccine arrives.

Dr. Laura, newly arrived at the Primary Healthcare Unit, attends to a strange case of a patient with very high diabetes. Her relationship with Dr. Paulo begins to show signs of strain.

Juliano discovers he is HIV positive, but claims he was cured by his pastor. Dr. Laura is outraged because Juliano's wife is pregnant, and Dr. Paulo ends up resolving the problem in his own way.

Dr. Laura is faced with the case of a girl who has been urinating blood for more than three months. During the diagnostic investigation, some evidence emerges that makes the case even more difficult to handle.

During a vaccination campaign at the Primary Healthcare Unit, Eraldo suffers a cardiac arrest. After being discharged, Dr. Paulo agrees to follow up with him, but the doctor is unsure what to do given the diagnosis.

Dr. Laura finds herself involved in the difficult task of caring for a terminally ill patient after not having given the elderly woman much attention during her home life, since she has health insurance.

An outbreak of leptospirosis threatens the community's residents, and Dr. Paulo tries to warn them not to follow the instructions of a local city council candidate.

Joel's case is more complicated than it seems, as he is schizophrenic, aggressive, and needs help. But the Primary Healthcare Unit knows that his family depends on him financially, and the doctors don't want to hospitalize him.

Dr. Paulo needs to consult specialists to try and figure out what's causing his throat pain. Meanwhile, Dr. Laura might leave the Primary Healthcare Unit if she gets accepted into the Radiology residency program.
